Are you a victim of Imposter Syndrome? (part one)

Have you ever felt like you don't deserve the success or recognition you have achieved? Do you constantly doubt your abilities and fear being exposed as a fraud? If so, you may be experiencing imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is the persistent belief that your achievements are a result of luck or deception rather than genuine ability.

Despite your overwhelming competence, you live in a constant state of self-doubt, feeling like they are just waiting to be exposed as a fraud.

If this is you, take heart, you are not alone. Many high-achieving individuals, struggle with this. It affects people from all walks of life, regardless of gender or professional background.

So what are some things that cause this:

👉 Perfectionism.
You just have to be perfect in everything you do. You set unrealistically high standards and often feel like you are always falling short.

👉 You believe luck is the reason for your success.
You constantly fail to recognize your abilities and hard work.

👉 The stereotype you allow to be placed on your life.
You feel that you have to work harder to prove yourself due to a label that society has placed on you.

👉 This can lead to a constant fear of failure and a persistent belief that they are not good enough.

When you doubt the gifts and talents that have been given to you it can result in your feelings of self doubt and that you don’t deserve what you have.
