Have the crippling effects of fear, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs kept you from leaving the bed?

If you say no, good for you and I would love to meet in person. You would be the first one I’ve ever met that never dealt with at least one of these things.

Now for the rest of us humans, what can we do to get past these issues?

Here are a few ideas that might help.

👉 Similar to my Tuesday response on fear, identifying the root cause is key.

More often than not, these emotions stem from past experiences or negative thought patterns that have become ingrained in your mind. Things that have been spoken to you or spoken over you that have caused you to believe them.

👉 Challenge any limiting belief by questioning its validity.

Ask yourself if there is any evidence to support those thoughts. You will find that most limiting beliefs are simply assumptions we have made about ourselves.

👉 Surround yourself with positive people.

By far this is my favorite thing to do. I seek out people who are supportive and encouraging, not in a Pollyanna kind of way but genuine, real. At the same time, distance yourself from those who bring you down.

👉 Set achievable goals and create a plan to achieve them.

Planning is a critical part of believing in yourself. People like John Knotts have written some incredible pieces to help with this.

👉 Practice self-care.

You really need to understand how important our physical, mental, and emotional well-being are to our overall success.

Eating healthy, exercising, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that bring you joy are great ways to take care of yourself.

👉 Don’t let pride rob you of life.

Seek out help if needed. There is no shame in asking for help from a therapist, coach, or mentor. They can provide guidance, support, and accountability as you work towards your goals.

👉 Finally, take action.

Momentum builds momentum, and the more you do, the more motivated you will become. Remember the old saying, “How do you eat an elephant?… One bite at a time.”

Let me know some things you do to help yourself overcome these success stealers.

Go make a difference today!
